Microsoft has paid Digital Foundry to reveal its final specs for its ‘Project Scorpio’ otherwise known as Xbox One Pro. The long video goes in-depth explaining the specs and how they could improve current Xbox One games.
Based on the specs in the video this console will likely cost $499 or more based on our estimations. As an owner of both PS4 and XB1 consoles, this does nothing to impress us. Games are what Xbox One is lacking, not power. Read on below for the final specifications.
Project Scorpio / Xbox One Pro Final Specs
- CPU – 8 Custom Jaguar Cores Clocked at 2.3GHz
- GPU – 40 custom compute units at 1172MHz
- Memory – 12GB GDDR5 (Only 8 Available For Games)
- Memory Bandwidth – 326GB/s
- HDD – 1TB 2.5-inch
- Optical Drive – 4K UHD Blu-Ray
As you can see from the video and the in-depth article. Project Scorpio won’t come cheap. Xbox One Slim will remain the cheapest and best way to play Xbox for the foreseeable future and all the best specs in the world won’t make up for the lack of exclusive games on the Xbox One compared to the PS4.
